::First visit here for 6 years, and we really wondered why we had left it so long before going back. Room was spacious and both it and the corridor had obviously recently been newly carpeted, so recently it still smelt new. We used the half pension option and the food was fantastic, served in a timely (not necessarily quick) manner - please don't eat here if you want fast food; preparing and serving good food takes time! Staff are professional, UK establishments could really learn a lot about how to treat customers from the way the Pfannes family runs the Schinkenwirt. Lastly, there is probably no better time than October to visit this wonderful area, the autumn colours are fantastic and must surely give those of New England a run for their money! We'll be back, and hopefully in shorter order.

::The waiter invite me to a table and I waiting 20 minutes and no one comes to bring me a menu, thats was terrible. Very bad restaurant!

::Been here twice now for family dinners and I can't fault them for anything. Great food and great service. The staff have infinite patience even with kids rinning around. Would go again!
