::Well the castle of Biendorf is preserved by the castle lords and is filled with life .... also has a great use with the museum. Now the numerous exhibits are also very interesting. Unfortunately, I only ever read about it in the newspaper. Although I only live about 5 km away. Public only for groups ...? It was nice to be open once a month for two or three hours .... There will then be several lone fighters who wanted to see the rarities from all over the world ...... 🌍⏰⌛🌈

::Schloss Biendorf, near Bernburg, has been owned by the Dutch family Van de Merwe since 2005. The manor exhibits 150 different collections in the museum of the castle. Among other things, chocolate boxes, pins, postcards, coffee and teaspoons, thimbles, hiking poles and music boxes, etc. With lots of love, patience and very nice in detail, the collections are presented here. It is worth to visit the beautiful castle.

::The term is misleading. Biendorf Castle no longer exists, it was already burned down at the beginning of the 20th century and replaced by a new building that was used as a school. In this privately used building, a very small anteroom with some exhibits, which have nothing to do with the historical heritage of the castle Biendorf, however, can be visited. There is also an orangery in the adjoining building, which is also used privately, whose portal, however, still refers to the glorious time of the castle lords. Even the tower of the former ensemble is still preserved, but can not be visited. However, there is a private collection of the current landlord and his family to see on the site, which shows over 300 000 different everyday and collectibles. The sheer size of the collection is overwhelming, and of course, memories of the past set in. Even though the site has lost its former glory and in some ways scares the museum a little respectfully, it is always good to go for a short visit.

::Today I went to the open castles day at Schloss Biendorf, great. What a fun and interesting museum, cozy music with a real barrel organ. Nice coffee and a Dutch drink. A successful day.
