Dr. Scherf was recommended to me because he is a specialist in adult autism. I tormented myself for a long time because telephoning is associated with fears for me (... I don't need psychiatric help for nothing ...). When I made a call today, I was disgusted in an extremely unfriendly manner: The practice would not accept new patients, it would generally be impossible to get an appointment, not even next year (... which I am already prepared for had), it would be pointless to be put on a waiting list. The lady on the phone interrupted me several times while I was speaking and laughed outright at me when I asked if there were other specialists I could try. I understand that specialists are very busy and have long waiting lists, and that registration can be stressful - but this malicious tone, combined with a complete refusal to help me in any way, is unacceptable. I didn't expect to get an appointment today, tomorrow or within the next six months - but at least a place on the waiting list or even the address of a colleague, an ambulance or other contact point would have been friendly. This way of dealing with patients, who call in the first place because of a psychological problem, is harmful - I feel humiliated and discouraged and I won't be calling anywhere anytime soon. I hope that there is a special place in hell for this type of employee in a psychiatric (!!) practice.

I thought for a long time whether to give a review. I had an appointment at the practice in mid-September through the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. When I was at the reception, however, I was told that no appointment was noted. Then it was said that the doctor I should have had the appointment with had canceled at short notice and they didn't have my number to cancel. I called the practice especially to have the appointment confirmed, which wasn't that easy either, it was either always busy or it wasn't picked up at all. When I called, I gave my cell phone number. A cancellation would actually have been possible. “So far so good”, I was offered to wait or make a new appointment through the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. I decided to wait. Dr. Scherf kindly stepped in and took his time at short notice. It was / is clear to me that he couldn't take enough time because I was practically there for him unannounced. The phrase “I take away other people's space”, which then came up in the appointment, struck me deeply and still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. For him it was probably just a said sentence, but for me it triggered the feeling of "being a burden and not wanted". I don't have to justify myself because I didn't want to go to my "old" psychiatrist. I had / have my reasons for that. After about 10 minutes the appointment was over and I was able to give a prescription, the note "we are full until February, if I still need an appointment, I should contact the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians again" and the note "he allows my family doctor that he continues to prescribe the tablets for me ”. In retrospect, it turned out that two of the drugs must not be taken together due to serious life-threatening interactions. Perhaps he has had different experiences with the medication, but in this case I would have been happy to receive a brief hint of possible interactions. @ Dr. Scherf: I want you to know that it wasn't just an appointment for me. I was hoping to finally find someone who would listen to me and take me seriously, a "permanent" psychiatrist who I could go to if I was not feeling mentally well. For me, visits to the doctor mean stress and great effort. The appointment only increased my fears of doctors.

Dr. Scherf did not want to give me a mask exemption due to his personal attitude to the subject of Corona - although I described my symptoms to him. For me this is failure to provide assistance!

I've been going to him and his associates for years. I never had such a great doctor as Dr Scherf in my life. He always is caring and takes the time to talk to you about concerns. I cannot recommend these doctors enough.
