::After two liposuctions (lipedema), I can contact Dr. Only recommend Damert. Whether it is a consultation, preparation for the operation, the operation itself as well as the aftercare, just great! The doctors and the nurses at Ward S5 were always friendly and took their time. I never felt like I was just a number. Empathy is no stranger to the staff at this clinic.

::My dad came to this hospital through the emergency room because of extreme pain. Immediately in the emergency room we were asked whether he should be made fit again at the geriatric ward after being admitted to a normal ward and having pain treatment. We agreed. He was given pain medication for 5 days and then discharged. There was no longer any question of admission to the geriatric ward. That was then arranged by the family doctor. This was followed by 2 weeks of treatment at the geriatric ward. During these two weeks, my 89 year old father was given a bedside basin to wash himself. He could not stand or walk because of the pain. In the two weeks he was completely left to his own devices in terms of basic maintenance. There shouldn't be anything like that. Yes, the staff is very busy. And yes, Corona challenges us all. But basic care is part of the basic work of the nursing staff! My dad then switched to short-term care, where he first had a shower. During the first week at the geriatric unit, it was possible to see my dad every day. He was allowed to be picked up at the station door with a wheelchair, taken to the cafeteria and then returned to the station door. After a few days this was only allowed once a week. This was justified with Corona. I say the staff was listless because too many wanted to visit their old and sick relatives, which is understandable. Corona challenges us all, both professionally and privately! Not just the nursing staff !!! My dad came back to this hospital after about 6 weeks because he had lost 9 kg there since his discharge and could not eat any food because of stomach pain and nausea. He was discharged after 2 days because his blood values were okay and the gastroscopy 6 weeks earlier had only revealed inflammation of the gastric mucosa. He died 2 weeks after his release. I think that says it all. Stay away from geriatrics. It is absolutely not recommended!

::From the initial consultation to aftercare, I felt that I was in good hands and understood. The treatment was successful and I am very satisfied with the result. Here I met a very competent, empathetic and understanding doctor. The right choice ;-) Thank you Mr. Dr. med. Damert Kind regards J. Holste

::My husband was in the emergency room for 3 hours. No vital values were checked. After the paramedics tried to connect him to the devices, he was left to his own devices. After he had pressed the emergency button several times because he had to go to the toilet, nobody came anyway. It wasn't until I stood in front of the door scratching my hooves that something happened. The end of the song was: that he discharged himself after 3 hours! The hospital is simply impossible !!!! Never again.
