Could you please correct the opening hours or advise staff that the branch will be closed on time? I was in the branch today, February 29, 2024, at 7:55 p.m. and wanted to send my mail. However, the employee refused and unkindly announced that the post office was only open until 7:45 p.m. and that she would no longer accept anything. However, according to Google Maps, the opening times are until 8:00 p.m., so theoretically I would have had 5 minutes to drop off my mail. I tried to explain this but to no avail. The employee was busy counting the cash register and probably wanted to get off work quickly instead of accepting my mail :(

I dropped off a package last week, received very good advice and the young gentleman was also very friendly I can only recommend

Unfriendly, opinionated staff. I had to prove twice that I was right (once they only wanted to accept the package as a package and the other time the gentleman couldn't do the math correctly). I haven't seen the two employees for a while now, but I only bring mail here when I have no other option.

Absolutely unreliable opening times and no chance to find out beforehand. You arrive by car loaded with packages and find a handwritten note: "Today only open until Y o'clock because of X". And this is not an isolated case, I post packages very often. You can then choose to use any holiday, lack of staff, illness or - as is the case today - simply no reason for X. Probably not in the mood. If you're lucky, Y stands for 6 p.m. Every now and then it's just 2 p.m. or 4 p.m., and as a person with normal working hours you're just out of luck. And even if the post office is open and you manage to muddle your way past the WBS70 clientele, you can still be turned away - because there are already too many packages and you can't accept anything anymore. I'm sorry, what?? You can almost feel sorry for the owner with his always tormented, apologetic look, which is why I don't say anything. Then there is currently a young man who has it under control easily and quickly, and a middle-aged woman who just can't do it. She likes to close the post office counter 5 minutes before closing time and stifle any discussion, or simply ignore you for half a minute while she sorts stuff. Or wait patiently until grandma Gisela Kretzschmer from 52a has collected her cent coin collection instead of (like the young man, for example) accepting packages in the meantime. Luckily, there is a Pfennigpfeiffer right on the bridge next to the ARAL gas station that at least accepts DHL packages - and is reliably open until 7 p.m.

Whether the post office or (the "collector" from) DHL is to blame - I'm not sure. But if a package A4x5 cm is not accepted on Saturday at 3 p.m. because "the stack of packages is too high" (1.5 m with gaps), then something is wrong. It wasn't friendly either. Service is something different for me.
