I have booked the hotel for my clients. The location was good but some points of the hotel were very dirty especially the balconies and the bathrooms. In the room of my clients was not working the air condition and the outside temperature was about 2 degrees. It was not possible to sleep with these circumstances. I had sent to them 3 emails to be careful with the cleanlinless of the room because the woman has allergy to the dust and the man had an operration and he has to be carefull with the bacterias and I had no reply. I was trying to contact them and they could not give me the correct email. Its unbelievable one 4 star hotel to have this situation. I called them many times because I wanted to change their room and nobody given me a reply and they told me that the hotel was full and they gave them only one day free breakfast instead of three days. Its a pity! I will never suggest this hotel again.

Rooms were okey. Location is close to center. But reception workers were behaving like they were always angry. One was named Daniele and the other one was an African man. They did not behave kind. When they gave our room cards they throw them at us. Their overall rudeness destroyed our moods. Expression of the hotel can improve by educating their employees on how to behave costumers. As of now do not recommend.

Even though the location is great I wouldn’t come back a second time. I even decided to leave the hotel during my stay, because it was that bad. There are better hotels in the area, even around the corner, which offer the same location convenience without the bad service. The room was much smaller than advertised and the pictures do not match at all. The AC didn’t work (the room was hot in the winter and turning off the heating didn’t do anything), the beds were dirty and everything was coated with dust. There was a horrible smell when we came into the room and it didn’t leave after airing the room. The bathroom was dirty and the shower curtain was stained (no pictures during booking contained a shower curtain). I doubt they vacuum, because my dust allergies were off the charts with their carpet. When they “cleaned” the room they did not provide us with clean sheets, we found they were the same because they contained the exact same stain that was there before. The furniture is very outdated, please just maintain it. The manager was grumpy and even argued with the staff. At first right in the canteen until they walked away to some room, but they could still be heard. There was a guard next to our room throughout the whole stay, with an ‘amazing’ ringtone on his phone that could be heard in the night when asleep. I don’t understand why they needed so many guards, there were two (sometimes three) at the entrance. They did not seem to guard anything, but their own boredom. There was a paper at the fire escape stating it was out of service, which seems like an unsafe situation to me. Lastly; why name it ‘Wyndham Garden’ when there is literally no garden in sight? Very misleading.

This hotel is very bad. The photos they advertise with are not even close to what it is. The rooms are stuffy, small, outdated and dusty. The name garden is misleading as there is not one. Just very small hallways and a terrible paint job. We found hair in the bathroom when we arrived and the furniture and the bathroom shows clear signs of wear and tear. Also, the room smelled like burned plastic. There is a clear lack of maintenance. The breakfast is very limited and not fresh. They have "security guards" on every floor in yellow traffic vests that just hang around and text with the sound on. The fire escape on our floor was out of service. Also, the manager openly argues with staff. When we checked out early there were no questions or apologies and no refund whatsoever. We will never come back.

With all the reviews of a few years ago (many 1 star reviews), I had my doubts about coming here. Apparently they took these reviews to heart, and I'm pleasantly and positively surprised how it looks. Rooms are great, the people behind the reception counter speak both German and English, so it's been a great stay for a few nights.
