I have been to ward B7 (qualified detoxification) several times due to a personal life crisis and drug addiction. With one exception ("You take SO many painkillers? Well, a small fraction of that was enough for me after my cesarean section!" - you just don't want to hear something like that!), the staff is simply great and deals with each patient individually in discussions. For example, I also received acupuncture in my room when I asked for it - you just have to take care of a lot of things on your own. The former senior physician Prof. Junghans is a luminary in his field, always friendly and very competent, individual decisions were always possible on a case-by-case basis (e.g. going cold turkey, postponing my discharge from Monday to Friday and once vice versa. The new senior physician also has the same pleasantly calm manner and is absolutely competent. Although the ward specializes in alcohol withdrawal, patients with medication or addiction to illegal drugs are also in good hands, even if in some cases the required medication could be more generous, especially for politically toxic patients. Admission always takes place quickly within one to two weeks. Crisis intervention is also possible, usually on the B2 (even if, due to the lack of space, the free places are currently almost exclusively reserved for lying down shots and you have to wait a really long time, up to six hours, for an admission interview). It's a shame that although the listed houses should have been renovated about seven or eight years ago, nothing like that has happened on the B7: There are two four-bed rooms, one three-bed room, and the rest two-bed rooms (some of them so small that you can hardly sleep can walk past the bed without bumping into fellow patients) and a single room with shower and toilet at the end of the hallway. The remaining patients each have to share two toilets and showers (for women and men respectively). The showers are also not designed to be handicapped accessible, so some patients have to make do with a cat wash. The therapy always addresses important topics and, as long as you get involved with it, has always been an enrichment for me, even on repeated occasions. If necessary (you have to take care of it yourself!), individual discussions with a therapist take place once a week so that individual problems can be addressed more. The food was a disaster for a while (some moldy bread!), but after the change in catering you really can't complain anymore. There is also vegan catering if required. The station is open, so you can enjoy a lot of freedom here. Unfortunately, not all patients can deal with it adequately. The picturesque area is very quiet and there is a forest in the immediate vicinity where I often retreated (since you can hardly ever be alone on the station, especially in the cold season). Even in the event of a relapse (if not on the ward), you get a second chance as long as you report it yourself. If you don't have a problem with communal showers and are dependent on quick admission and can cope with the freedom of an open detoxification ward, I can only recommend a stay on the B7. MMn the many negative reviews are primarily due to the fact that many patients write with too high expectations of others and too low of themselves.

I was in mental health treatment in House B3 for 6 weeks. I can only give positive feedback. The doctors and nursing team are great. Time is taken for each patient. I had severe depression and was able to be cured in these weeks. I would recommend everyone to do therapy there.

The clinic doesn't have them all anymore. My friend registers there to get treatment and luckily gets a place quickly. When he arrived there with his suitcase, he was sent home the same day on the grounds that he had not yet undergone any diagnostics and that he had to go there first. We weren't told anything about this beforehand because we assumed that the diagnostics would be carried out during the visit. The clinic itself should be very familiar with its processes and requirements. You get the feeling that the employees have no idea about their work. That already seems very incompetent to me. So I try to call the PIA for diagnostics, but being on hold is another matter in itself. I am very disappointed and angry about this situation and the confusion and hope for compensation

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to reach ZIP by telephone for a long time. If you call waiting list position 4, you can wait 10 minutes for the first position, then the connection will be interrupted. This tragedy can be repeated as often as you like. Since I just read in one of the reviews two weeks ago that the problem has existed for a long time, a technical error can apparently be ruled out. Unfortunately, no information about the current situation and hygiene measures can be found on the well-known websites. The page was updated "before the vaccine", which must have been in 2020 and is in dire need of an overhaul.
