::It's better to go to HVB because you don't have to wait half an hour on the phone and you get a reasonable bank account where you have unrestricted access to it, which is not the case here. Plus, the customer service is at least friendly and helpful

::I was in four Sparda branches in Regensburg, nowhere was it possible to make electronic transfers. There were paper transfer slips with a note of the processing fee. I find this quite backwards, even in our small town (pop. 30,000 in RP) there is this option. Dear Sparda Bank, there is a need for optimization!!!

::I have been with Sparda-Bank Ostbayern eG, formerly Sparda-Bank Regensburg eG, since 1997. This bank has very competent, helpful and friendly employees. I've moved several times since then, but I'm sticking with this bank, for the reason mentioned above, since nowadays you don't necessarily have to have a bank on site anymore.
