::In 2020 I was in inpatient treatment with severe postpartum depression. There were a few phone calls beforehand. Even the clinic manager, Mr. Dr. Malevani took the time to speak to me on the phone in advance and already tried to calm me down. When I was admitted, I, like all patients, felt very poorly. At my request, my husband was allowed to regularly attend therapy sessions, despite Corona measures. I found that to be a huge relief. My son, who unfortunately couldn't be included because the infrastructure for an infant simply isn't there, which I understand, was also allowed to visit at any time. The nursing team was very nice and always had an open ear. Contact with fellow patients with similar suffering was very helpful. The therapy was close-knit and targeted and also very well tailored to the type of depression I had (mother-child bonding, everyday life with a baby, etc.). My medication was well adjusted, I was closely looked after and informed. My wish to move to the day hospital after about 6 weeks of inpatient stay was granted and the combination of everyday life with the baby at home and therapy paved the way for the final steps towards “healing”. Ultimately, I can say: I as a patient was always the focus. Everyone coordinated well and developed a holistic treatment concept. I would definitely choose this clinic again.

::Great clinic! Very nice employees. The therapists and doctors I got to know were great! I would especially like to thank Ms. Sinewe for her great work! 👌🏻 You will be warmly greeted everywhere. There is a very pleasant atmosphere in the house. Even if you have trouble with the health insurance company, you will receive competent administrative help. Great concept for recovery. Having one-on-one meetings three times a week is worth its weight in gold in times of crisis. All other offers complement individual therapy in a meaningful way. You learn a lot about yourself and have time and space to recover. 🧘♂️ The good cuisine is particularly noteworthy and contributes to recovery. 🥗🥩🥐 A clear recommendation from me. But here too, people don't perform miracles. You have to commit to the therapy and, above all, take your time for it.

::The competence of the specialist staff and the commitment of the nursing staff on the ward completely convinced me that I had made the right choice of clinic. Since I haven't had a hospital stay before, I approached everyone openly and I can only recommend that everyone try everything here if they feel like it, so that they can find out for themselves what's good for them. You are treated warmly and personally and can organize large parts of your week independently. You can also address questions to the nursing staff, the specialist staff, i.e. the therapists or the head physician at any time. You can always get answers here. The good mood of the staff on site is really contagious and has made every day a little easier for me. The courses are well structured but also depend on the participation of the other course participants. Otherwise, you have individual therapy sessions 3 times a week, each lasting 50 minutes, in which you can address key topics. Thanks to the Just Fit Studio, which is located directly in the house, you can regularly and free of charge integrate sport/exercise back into your "everyday life" and find the joy in the "exertion" of training again. But I also think the sports offerings in the house are very good, as a self-defense course is even held once a week by an external “KRAV MAGA” studio. That was really very interesting (apart from the fact that it was fun to just punch a boxing pillow ;-) The good cuisine, which conjures up great main courses every day in buffet form alongside great salads and fresh fruit, deserves special praise. A veggie day is also included once a week, as is a “fish day” that offers really good fish. Breakfast varies between scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and on some days even pancakes. The rooms are spacious, bright and friendly and very clean. Thank you for the relaxing time. JL

::I have experience in psychiatry (patient and doctor), know both sides well and can therefore provide a competent assessment. For me, the Somnia private clinic in Hürth is one of the best in Germany - and I know many of the specialist clinics personally. I really like the humanistic, holistic view of the house. As a patient, I was included openly and cooperatively in all decision-making processes. Trust comes first, you can let yourself go and the clinic's great staff will pick you up at any time. A young, dynamic team of doctors and psychologists led by the experienced and always helpful chief physician Dr. Malevani covers the range of psychiatric illnesses from a medical and therapeutic perspective. Cross-school psychotherapeutic procedures are primarily oriented towards behavioral therapy, promote the patient's personal responsibility and sensitively support the healing process. I was very fortunate to meet the empathetic and committed doctor and psychotherapist Mr. Mengesha right from the start, who lived up to my trust in all aspects (including schema therapy). My very personal thanks for this! The Somnia Clinic's range of therapies is very large and includes, among other things, all behavioral therapies of the latest "third wave" such as acceptance and commitment treatment (ACT), metacognitive training (D-MKT for depression sufferers) and emotional activation therapy (EAT/Embodiment). - please read about this on Google or Wikipedia. The mindfulness training (by the qualified psychologist Ms. Schmidt) and enjoyment training as well as MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction, by the life philosopher Ms. Stock) are excellently conducted. There are a number of additional offers in the areas of art and occupational therapy as well as various relaxation procedures such as PMR (progressive muscle relaxation) and autogenic training: Ms. Radtke speaks the texts with heart and "on the side" she accompanies interesting excursions to cultural highlights such as Museums in Cologne/surroundings. Last but not least, competent physiotherapists and a good masseur provide treatment on site. A feeling of security quickly arises in the friendly atmosphere: this is ensured by friendly “cleaning fairies” (daily room cleaning) and competent hygiene specialists; Caretaker Underberg works for two. The team of nursing staff is available and helpful around the clock and the well-organized administration responds quickly. Kitchen (with a top team! around the lovely Gianni) and accommodation have hotel character. I found my personal “anchor” for my soul in Cologne-Hürth (verifiable stay from April to June 2017). If I feel as bad again as I did when I was admitted, I have a place here where I am welcome and can be human with my weaknesses; a place where I meet fellow patients who are on my wavelength and with whom a beneficial community develops with lots of good conversations. There is very little to say negatively: I raised a few points on site and remedial action was taken immediately or was promised - I would like to leave it at that publicly. Finally, praise for the clearly efficient quality management and the good personnel management of a harmonizing team with top-qualified employees with high social skills and motivation. Conclusion: In my opinion, this highest level of treatment and care also justifies the not insignificant daily rates. Once again, I would like to thank you very much for all the kindness that was shown to me by the entire staff of the hotel throughout my stay in 2017. Thanks! Doc R.R.

::After 2 stays in 2016 and 2017, I cannot understand the above review. I can only completely agree with the assessment of the nursing staff. With regard to the therapists and doctors, I can also attest to their very professional approach, and not just on the medication side. In particular, the new therapeutic offerings were very helpful for me. Of course, it also depends a lot on you to what extent you are willing to get involved in the treatments. Of course, this also includes trying out the variety of offers such as art therapy, relaxation and the like. If inpatient treatment becomes necessary again in the future, Somnia will definitely be my first choice. Of course, this also applies to the support provided by administration, kitchen and clinic management.
