  The first time sluiced. An experience indeed. Has always been a wish. This year we will see how far the new building is.

  Always worth a visit. The condition is good. You can go for a nice walk there. Also by car you can get very close to the boat lift.

  Coming from the A2, the trail is signposted about 3 km. Large parking lot. Old boat lift to the Mittelland Canal can also be visited and is still in operation, though additional a new lock is available. Both buildings are close together and worthwhile to look at. At the boat lift is an additional parking lot (restaurant Adler) with footpath / ascent to the canal.
