Rooms are very small though we have booked family room. It was one double bed and two single bed with barely a space to walk in the room. Room service is very poor.

I'm pretty angry with this place. In general it's ok, rooms are small but cozy and neat, location is fine, by the main train station. Many nice food places around, big parking nearby. But I was brutally woken up at 7 am because there is a construction place at my window. That's why 1 star for the location and 3 for service.

The good: Super near the Augsburg train station. Very friendly staff. Mini grocery store nearby. The bad: Bed mattress is super thin, just a little better than cardboard. Pillows are about three wash towels thick. The lobby is scented, chemical smell scented perhaps from the walk decorations. Additional note: no AC in rooms. Not an issue during cooler months so we were fine. Fan in the room helps.

Steps from the Augsburg HBF, a perfect location to wander around historic Augsburg. The front desk staff, Geza, was friendly and exceptionally helpful. The rooms are a bit small but have an efficient layout. Plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Our room faced the train tracks and when the windows were closed we never heard a train - fantastic soundproofing! For security concerns only, there is a room safe, but no phone (very common in the EU) in the room. As with many EU hotels - be aware that the rooms are not air-conditioned but the windows do open for fresh air, and a desktop fan is provided. If a warm room is an issue for you keep this in mind.

I asked for a queen size bed while checking out on booking.com (was there as an option). The hotel replied that they couldn’t guarantee it. I called them and they said they didn’t have any. I then asked for my reservation to be cancelled and that they would reimburse me fully. They refused to do that. It seems like it’s a rip off. They cannot fulfill your wish, yet don’t want to reimburse you. AVOID booking here. Now I have to make arrangements somewhere else.
