::I think I never expressed my gratitude to the Leipziger Police and told about what happened when my sons school called me 2 hours after my son should have been there, asking me where my son was!? Despite me calling them 10 minutes after school started at 8:10 asking if my son arrived safely as he was late due to an accident blocking the road on the way to his school??? Police came and picked me up (in the meanwhile all these things you are doing in your head: who might be the culprit, who took my son, if it was him , how do I gain access to his house and what will I need to do to make him tell me where my son is, etc...) We found my son inside the building where we lived and I had tears in my eyes of relief! I asked him what went wrong and he said the bell didn't work, so he banged a few times on the door, but no one came. So he went home all by himself and he knew he had to wait for my wife to return from bringing his little brother to Kindergarten (all the way to the other side of Leipzig) When I called school to inform he was found I was berated by the head of the school upon and seeing me turning white on the phone and hearing the screaming of the head of the school on the other side of the phone the most senior police asked me to hand over the phone. He told her that electric wires were dangling out of the bell when she denied he informed her that his colleague just told him as that same colleague was standing at their front door right now! He listened and than scolded her as the bell was destroyed that previous Saturday and yet nothing was done to have it fixed. He instructed the head of the school to apologize to me and would see her later that day. He was even angrier than I was, and so were his colleagues. THANK YOU Leipziger police for showing compassion while calming a father down who just called that his son is missing. Thank you for your understanding during the ride home and especially for taking over that call before I could say things I might have regretted or done worse
