::Honesty and respect. I came to the emergency room with an abscess because my family doctor had recommended this procedure and waiting any longer would have been risky. After blood was taken and I was admitted, the attending doctor came back into the room with her senior physician and I was recommended treatment in another hospital. The background was that a previous operation didn't seem to go quite smoothly. The doctor became quite rude to me when I FRIENDLY questioned the procedure. My condition was compared to a failed car repair. From a purely legal perspective, I could understand it, but I found the behavior of a senior doctor absurd and unnecessary. I then had to wait for a report that didn't help anyone (except the hospital) Text at the bottom: Further treatment in hospital XY recommended.

::Absolutely not recommended, lots of bad decisions all the time. Is sent home with the same symptoms and has to seek further treatment elsewhere. Even one star is too many for this hospital!

::I was treated for a kidney resection from February 6th to February 14th, 2024 in the urological ward. From the first contact to the discharge, I felt very taken care of and looked after. Especially Dr. Halbert is very empathetic, thorough and was open to all questions. I couldn't have surgery with DaVinci because of major abdominal surgery 2 1/2 years ago. But the documents were reviewed beforehand, so I was aware that it was will be a major operation. The nursing staff on Ward 3 West do a very good job, even when things got hectic. All in all very good care. I would like our healthcare system to invest more in such houses so that we are not only seen as a diagnosis, but also as a person.

::Review about the day clinic. I was there for about 8 weeks in 2020. The review is only coming now as I needed time to reflect on everything. The time in the day clinic was really good! One of the most important things I learned there... I'm not alone. Being around other depressed people, regardless of the reasons, is incredibly good if you open yourself up to communication. It was enlightening to go into the smoking corner crying after a heated individual session with Mr. Fabian, wanting to hide but not being able to, and then there are people who don't judge you, but straighten out a chair for you, asking: " well, had a single?" And if you don't say anything, because you can't say a word, then you see in their eyes that they would all be in exactly the same situation as me. That they felt the same. You feel real compassion. You feel understood. For the first time. The employees were also really great. I had the feeling that I wasn't being judged here either and that people were trying to understand me. The individual sessions in particular have brought me an incredible amount and revealed things that I was no longer aware of. I learned about myself beforehand. One thing is still very important to me today, even though I didn't think it was that extreme at the time. A violent experience from the past that I had already dealt with very well was brought up by the therapist. We talked about it and I learned: I'm pretty good at protecting myself mentally. A realization that took years to mature. Like so many things I experienced there. All in all, I would like to say to every person who is looking for help, dare! I can recommend Lübbecke, but the main thing is that you do something. Be open to new things, because there is a lot on offer. You don't have to like all of it, but things that you think are stupid may have a big impact on you. Thank you for everything you have done for me!!
