::With my father because of suspected pulmonary embolism. Father loaded into wheelchair, 20 minutes wait to register. Then get a parking ticket (€2 per hour) and go back to the car. A ticket for €29 was already waiting for me there. In a forest and meadow parking lot where no one parks voluntarily. The finest rip-off.

::I have rarely experienced such friendly staff in hospitals. A place to recover.

::Parking for visitors is privatized. Rip-off to the power of ten. Absolute mess. Who ever parks voluntarily at a hospital? As soon as you park the car, an inspector with a cell phone camera is already there. Then the showers in the rooms are infested with mold. How is someone supposed to get or stay healthy? In addition, you will be charged €3 per day for telephone calls, whether you use the phone or not. Rip-off rip-off rip-off. Telephone card machines have been out of operation for weeks.

::I went on an emergency on Nov. 17, I was referred by GP Dr Tinnes after showing heavy pains, and had a tumour removed on the 19. I was positively amazed by the professionalism and humanism displayed by the Team of Doctors & Nurses led by, Dr Bussenius & Reck. Everyone was dedicated to theirs patients at all times, showing empathy and professionalism, whilst deploying all their human skills & technical resources to get positive outcomes. I can't thank everyone enough for the care and dedication I received during the twos weeks I was there. I will be eternally grateful for this.

::One of the worst hospitals I've ever encountered! And that in developed Germany! Coming from 'underdeveloped' Zambia one is used to a few things, but one expects differently from a German health institution. The staff was rude and unhelpful (excepting the physiotherapist), and the food terrible (especially the vegetarian choices). I was a private patient who had paid 14,000 Euro for a knee operation and 10-day hospital stay, but that was considered 'just tough luck'. It was most unfortunate that my stay coincided with that VERY long holiday weekend, the Martin Luther 500th in Oct 2017, when, from Friday to the next week Thursday (including the 'bridge day'), most staff had taken off, including all doctors and most nurses. Five days of wasted time: no physio, no changing of bandage, rare/late collection of dishes! Shame on the Knappschaftsklinikum.
