After endless attempts to get an appointment with other dermatologists, I was given an appointment at UKB Dermatology within 2 weeks. The registration system is uncomplicated and everything is well organized. The treating doctor Dr. Bertlich was extremely friendly, thorough, approachable and competent. I was given medication and very well informed. All employees very friendly and competent.. I feel in good hands.

I wouldn't even give it one star if I could. I have been attending the outpatient consultation for the administration of the psoriasis injection every 12 weeks for years and I have to say that the organization and the care have deteriorated. During the consultation, my blood was always taken, a urine sample was taken, an injection was given and ointments were also prescribed. Suddenly, my contact with the doctor was canceled today without notice, even though I had some concerns about the ointments and had questions that were bothering me. When I was kindly told that I needed a doctor today, I was simply boldly and unkindly told that this was impossible because the UKB was overloaded and overwhelmed (room 607). When I asked what would happen at my next appointment in 12 weeks and whether I would have contact with the doctor again, I was told in a very short temper that there were no more appointments available and that I couldn't get an appointment. When I asked whether the helpers could now prescribe the ointments for me, I got the answer “no, only the doctors can do that”... but if I am no longer able to contact the doctor, how am I supposed to request my ointments???! Funny! No urine sample was taken this time, even though this has to be checked for the injection I receive (sisters)!!! It's amazing how the situation is developing there. Unfriendly, overwhelmed employees, your concerns are not taken seriously. I couldn't talk to the doctor. Instead I had to sign a piece of paper saying that I was fine with the injection (staff in room 607)! This piece of paper should be a substitute for a doctor! I understand that hospitals are overwhelmed, but that doesn't mean that a human life or a patient's concerns should be made irrelevant!!!!!!! You can't suddenly stop contacting a doctor even though you're receiving serious therapy and heavy injections; especially since I have emphasized several times that I have concerns and questions. By the way, it was recommended to me that I should write an email with my concerns and questions and these would then be answered by “my” doctor via email. When I was answered that every time I see a new face as a doctor and they are always new doctors and I don't have a doctor responsible for me, I just shrugged my shoulders! Unfortunately, I no longer have any understanding of overload! How easy it is to become a doctor these days; Examinations and meetings only via email. So dermatology in the UKB is really not recommended under these circumstances. Now just a zero!

I am really enthusiastic about the organization of the dermatology outpatient clinic. I asked for an appointment for my son by email 10 days ago, the next day I had confirmation that he could come 7 days later. You first go to the “main registration”, the ladies were really nice and friendly. You then get a waiting number and go into the large waiting room. We had to wait 30 minutes, which was absolutely fast for a university hospital. The doctor took a lot of time and examined and asked everything for almost 30 minutes. We were discharged with a diagnosis and medication. The 1.5 hour drive was definitely worth it

I was at the emergency Department and not the Klinik for four hours to find out whether a dermatological problem could lead to an acute situation or not. A genuine human mistake led to this delay. After that, everything ran smoothly.
