I was a little surprised when my family doctor sent me to the clinic to have a small abscess removed. I assumed that this would be done in the outpatient clinic. But instead of a referral, I received an instruction. After I took a number, I had to wait a bit, but after a friendly welcome at the counter, the doctor who admitted me quickly looked at the abscess and said to me very kindly: "An abscess. Inpatient for three days." I didn't expect that at all. As instructed, I went to 27-2 and was greeted there by a very friendly nurse who showed me the room and gave me a lot of further information. Next, I was examined by another doctor who explained the procedure to me in a comprehensible manner. She also informed me and took a professional anamnesis. On the same day I was in the “operating room”. There I was informed again, and I noticed that a lot of emphasis was placed on patient safety, because certain anamnestic information was asked again. The surgeon explained what he was doing throughout the entire small procedure. That was very pleasant; I found the working atmosphere in the operating room to be open and positive. The “operation” went quickly and routinely. I then had to stay for three days, during which daily dressings were changed and intravenous antibiotics (3 times a day). The friendliness and professionalism of the care was consistently consistent. The same applies to the other people who work there. And I have to emphasize that my stay included a holiday and a weekend day. Nevertheless, there was always a good mood and friendliness. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the treatment and everything else and would choose the skin clinic in Mannheim again at any time. So I can't understand the many bad reviews. It might be helpful to note two things: (1) Health care personnel are not “service personnel.” (2) Communication is always cause and effect (Paul Watzlawick)

I waited 8 months for an appointment for my son to be tested for albinism. When we were called, the doctor said she didn't know how to test it and that she wasn't familiar with it. So far so good, so she called the senior doctor over. So we were called again after another 45 minutes. The senior doctor explained to me what I had to pay attention to, sun protection... etc. I then asked him what about the test? He asked me why I wanted to have this tested because it would be obvious that my child suffers from albinism. I was so stunned and didn't even know what else to say. I will never enter this clinic again. Really outrageous!

I was in dermatology for a year and a half, partly as an outpatient and partly as an inpatient. I can't confirm what some people have written here. The ladies in the outpatient clinic were always polite and courteous. The doctors also tried to find solutions. On the other hand, due to the waiting time, I often noticed how patients said that the employees were doormats for bad moods. Furthermore, every sane person must know that when you go to a specialist clinic, you have to bring a referral with you. There were always a lot of patients in front of me and still, things went pretty quickly. I often ask myself what expectations some people have. I can only praise the entire house and was grateful for every helping hand. My praise and thanks go to everyone there.

What's going on there underground. We already had an appointment there in July where blood was taken. The meeting date was set for December. Shortly beforehand we got a call: the date had to be rescheduled for February. We get there and the lady at the reception of the ambulance asked for our transfer. We didn't have a new referral with us and because of that we couldn't be treated. So far so good, I can still understand it until then. Then the lady tells us that our meeting for the blood values should be in February 2025. That makes no sense at all to discuss blood values a year and a half later. You feel dismissed. Of course there was no conversation and no treatment. It was also not possible to submit the transfer later. We had to travel over an hour to have blood results from 6 months ago printed out. The family doctor could have done that too. Unfortunately very disappointing.

I've only been an escort several times, and I've never experienced anything as unfriendly as the receptionists present themselves here!!! That doesn't reflect well on this clinic. Maybe this also means that patients look for another clinic and the ladies have less work.
