  My mother (78 years old) sat for a full 5 hours on December 14th, 2023 (from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), even though there were only 4 people there in front of her, with great pain and a thick, hematous lesion that was black and spotted from the heel to the calf leg due to an impact injury sustained a few days before, until a prospective doctoral student took it on. Mom was in terrible pain the night before and thought she was going to die. She can't wear winter shoes, so she didn't want to drive through the whole city to the HÄ and also didn't want to be a burden to any of our daughters (didn't tell us). Because she was in so much pain and fear, she went to the KKH Erfurt, and because we live very close by. My mother never whines, never complains, she's tough, and it's saying something when she went to the emergency room on her own. I don't understand why this is called an emergency room. I don't understand why an elderly person in pain would be kept waiting so long.

  Modern hospital and absolutely professional staff. The waiting times are the best I've ever experienced in Germany, and the doctors are open-minded

  Unreasonable! After a traffic accident I have to wait over 5 hours for an X-ray to be evaluated! The X-ray doctor says he doesn't need to evaluate the images because it's not his job because he didn't take them, it was the doctor in front of him! For people with illnesses who rely on taking tablets at certain times, this is more than unreasonable! A legitimate transport ticket is refused because it supposedly doesn't exist! My conclusion KKH KV is an imposition!

  At registration we asked where the emergency room was. When we asked why we wanted to go there, the lady at the registration desk explained the route. The lady at the emergency room registration desk wasn't very happy about my daughter being in the emergency room with severe pain either. Only the doctor was friendly, but we were only given painkillers and then left. Next time we'll probably put up with the long wait at Helios and go there.

  I was stupid enough not to go to the doctor on time because I thought, quite typically, "it'll go away on its own" and I also wanted to avoid waiting times because even with an appointment you soon have to pack a food bag at every doctor until it's finally your turn comes. Long story short, no sense at all: The pain was so unbearable on Saturday that I had to go to the emergency medical service. I waited for an hour, which was definitely bearable under the circumstances and the doctor was great too.
