  We didn’t stay at the hotel, but ate in the restaurant. The food was outstanding, never had such perfect Matjes before, even the desert was excellent. Very nice garden, too.

  For the price you pay, this place absolutely can't be beat! The facilities are not your typical 5* hotel facilities (more like a solid 3+*) but the value absolutely is 5*. I would say the value is 6* in fact. Andrea and Peter are nice people and the location, just across the road from the lake, is relaxing and tranquil. We arrived late in the evening and it was very convenient to drop our bags and head straight to the restaurant to enjoy dinner and some wine in a setting that is over 400 years old...then to have breakfast in the morning at the same table overlooking the lake. It was delightful and if we are travelling in that area again we will definitely stay again!
