::Room and prices ok. Terrible service. Not gently.

::I always stay at Europeischer Hof, use the pool, and enjoy the location. I also get very good follow up by Frau Dirksen, and the front desk team. They are all very good.

::The hotel is right in front of the main station and it is much better that you might imagine. Everything from breakfast to the wellness area is absolutely perfect. You can enjoy a delicious and very rich breakfast in a nice scenery, looking at the rushing city outside whilst you are reading your morning newspaper or working at your laptop (like me!). The rooms are big and comfortable, bathroom new and clean. Great beds and everything really! There is even a smoking room for the guests. The hotel may need some refurbishment, but everything that could be done, is done.. the best way possible! Staff kind and helpful. Thank you and see you again!

::Probably the friendliest hotel in Hamburg - or even anywhere? I haven't stayed in all Hotels in Hamburg, but I have stayed in quite a few. And along with other hotels in other cities also taken into consideration, I maintain my statement. The ambience in the Hotel is all the way so friendly that you get the feeling of staying as an honoured guest with a loving family. I have dealt with almost every function of staff, from the guys in the garage, the porter, concierge, reception and house cleaning staff - and they are all of the same friendly disposition and polite. And than there is the intriguing blend of styles in the Hotel - partly 1950'es style and partly modern, but all superbly maintained and spic and span everywhere. Just love it, and I keep coming back for more....

::Excellent hotel. Very helpful staff. Lovely rooms. Fantastic breakfast. Paulaner "pub" connected to hotel for good beer and delicious white sausages served with sweet mustard and giant pretzels. Location couldn't be better as the hotel is opposite the main station. You also get a free 3 day pass for all public transport, including the 62 ferry that takes you round the harbour.
