::What a delightful hotel. We stayed for one night on the way to Dresden and their Christmas Market. Snow on the ground and in the trees - magical. Friendly welcome and a lovely spacious room. Good breakfast.

::Good hotel super close to one of Kassel's main sights: the Hercules monument and surrounding park. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet had warm and cold options available. Room was decent size, all clean, tidy and somewhat new. Only the corridors echoed a bit, otherwise quiet. WiFi had medium speed, bed had good mattresses. Overall very good value for the 58€ I paid per night.

::The hotel was great. Rooms are nice, breakfast incredible, (fresh orange juice, actual honey comb, eggs & bacon and so much more). There is a sauna that you can make as hot as you want. The personell is very helpful. The hotel is perfectly located next to the Hercules monument. If you are looking for an active exploration of Kassel, you can try walking shortly through the small forest close to the hotel and you will reach Hercules in 15 minutes by foot. Granted you have your comfortable shoes on, going down all the stairs will take you to a surprise museum, with an amazing little cafe in it. Following the road straight takes you to the city center. We did a walking tour from the hotel to Kassel center and back in 7 hours, taking our time, with stops in many places to enjoy the view and rest. After climbing back on the Hercules we had dinner at Herkules Terassen, which has the best view in town and very good food. Seriously nice weekend. Would highly recommend.

::Rooms are comfortable but the breakfast is quite minimalistic and the room amenities would need to be rethought (e.g. there's a nespresso coffee machine in the room but you have to pay a ridiculous 1.5 euro to use one capsule).

::The hotel asked for a 40 euro extra for a dog (large breed). Seriously? For that price I hope you serve them breakfast too! We decided not to stop here, despite we liked it the first time (when they did not charge us for the dog... You wonder...)
