::It was my first time in Dresden and I didn't know anyone. I always wanted to visit this city because of its history and because it was the second city in DDR. For many years it was closed to the world. When I arrived in Mondpalast everything was simple, a lass from Asia helped me with check-in and also helped me to find a place to repair my ol' watch. In the afternoon the receptionist was a beautiful lady. We started talking in German, but then I was surprised with the fact that she was from my own country, Brazil. Karina was gentle, very helpful and always with a good humour. A lass from Australia and a guy were also helpful. The Aussie girl with blue hair (Nick I think) helped me with taxi when I left the hostel. She and Karina are joys of the hostel, please keep them! There were meetings in the hostel lobby, people share their food and I had quite sociable room mates. The place is basically in city centre, so you can reach most of the city quickly. It was one of my best experiences in a hostel in Europe and considering the price I can only leave my positive review and my warm wishes of a happy New Year to everyone!

::Hostel Mondpalast is a spacious and lively place. A working kitchen area with a dining area. It is kept very clean, with the nicest bathroom I've seen in a hostel. The staff are helpful, efficient and will happily talk with you. Vero is willing to help with a smile and her colleague Selma is friendly too. The people who manage this hostel are polite, friendly and willing. I was pleasantly surprised in many ways staying here!

::It's a nice hostel with a bar downstairs, there is a luggage room and a kitchen, not a lot of toilets, but enough showers. I loved the location, it's a bit away from the old town/ city center but right in the Neustadt, which is a cool and younger part of the city. 15 minute walk from the train station. Unfortunately when I was there a school group basically took over the hostel, so they always crowded the kitchen/ common area and bathrooms

::I recommend for young social people. Great rooms, good breakfast and place to store your bicycle. The bar in the bottom also has great vibes for young people to get a drink. Only tip, there is only one outlet for your bedroom so take a charger with mutiple Usb connections if you have more than one thing you need to charge.

::The first point of praise should be the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was super competent and nice. The bar/common area downstairs had a really cozy vibe and it was nice to chill there when the weather was very humid. The location is simply excellent, all the nice places to hang out are nearby and public transport is around the corner. There was always loud music coming from somewhere nearby during our stay, but it's obviously not the hostel's fault. Would definitely visit again and recommend it to everyone coming to Dresden.
