  The S1 station has an elevator on the north side. There is a small café at the entrance from Max-Beckmann Platz. In less than half an hour from Hermsdorf you are directly at the Brandenburg Gate, every 10 minutes.

  It is not really pretty, but the direct connection with the S1 to the old center of Berlin and the government district is unbeatable.

  lift breakdowns occasionally happen, so wheelchair and buggy users, be aware! also there could be a better step free design from the buses to the platform
