  Great, if you want to know something about mining in our area and the extraction of salt by brine and the tradition of miners, you should definitely take a look there. But there were also other, exciting discoveries I made there. A great little museum, with very friendly staff. Thanks for the many great information.

  The well-prepared exhibition in the historic building gives a nice overview of the history of Schöningen, the former zonal border and the now decommissioned lignite mining.
