  Gut, dass hier das Museum bewertet wird, und nicht deren Verantwortliche. Das Museum ist wirklich wie es sein soll. Informativ, manchmal überraschend in der Vielfalt und Aufklärung. Und: der Bürgerentscheid lässt hoffen, dass die tollen Bäume davor am Leben bleiben. Alleine dafür den Mainzer Bürgern einen dicken Applaus.

  Museo dedicato a colui il quale, secondo alcuni storici, fu l'inventore della stampa a caratteri mobili. All'interno sono conservate le prime Bibbie stampate oltre ai macchinari utilizzati dai tipografi nelle diverse epoche e anche una ricostruzione delle tecniche di stampa impiegate un alcuni paesi asiatici (Cina, Corea e giappone). Interessante è il laboratorio didattico organizzato per i più piccoli che si tiene solo il sabato.

  A bit too old fashion museum with the architecture of the 60’s, the concrete columns, wooden ceilings and carpet floors. Maybe too long the books part and too short the machine part. I think some videos or explanations will help rather than the necessary but expensive (3,5€) audio guide. I give it a 4 because of the show with a copy of the original printer explained in detailed by one really friendly worker. If you don’t want to see the museum at least try to see this show.
