::Very chic and somewhat expensive. The food downstairs is top quality. Great French experience.

::I was only down in the food area, but this was so worth a visit. Why don't I have a food store like this close to my home. Take the time for a lunch or a cake and coffee. This is a place where quality still matters.

::This is a great shopping complex. At the heart of Berlin, for the outgoing, this is the place you want to visit. Electronics, great eateries around. It's worth your time. It is centrally located so, if you want to get a quick feel of German shopping cultures, this is the place to be.

::What I enjoy about shopping for high-end brands is the good service that the shop staff offers. The staff at Galeries Lafayette Berlin shows little or no interest in helping the customers. I received no help at all, even though I spent more than 1000 € in several departments. The clothes are not folded, but thrown and stuffed in the bags after purchase. The only positive thing is that the toilets are free of charge and that they have water dispensers with free water on each level.

::Shopping here is for tourists. French people really only come for sales which is twice a year. Obviously there are armed police at department stores & all bags are checked in and out. Whilst #police appear quite serious & frightening they are very polite & helpful. They engender immediate respect so you are extremely polite & cooperative. Its also nice to know that they treat everyone with respect but do not tolerate any B.S! #respect
