  I have been shopping with Campbell and Darklands since the mid 2000s, when he had a store called Komakino. The well-curated lineup of designers there (a combination of work totally unprecedented at the time) is really what made me interested in clothing. I have placed a substantial number of orders with Darklands since its inception. Virtually all of these were for high-value articles where limited quantities and worldwide demand meant that each time I had one chance and a considerable amount of money invested in a specific piece fitting my body. Campbell and the staff at Darklands expertly advised on sizing, fabric choices, and so forth—taking the extra effort not only to measure a garment and guess if it will fit or not but to actually try each piece on, interact with it, and from there gauge optimal fit. While, since the days of Komakino, you may find more stores selling the line-up of designers originated there—you will not to this day find a boutique that goes to the extent Darklands does in terms of customer satisfaction and retention. Needless to say, every single piece I have ever bought from the store—from stock purchases to custom orders—has fit perfectly, was shipped immediately, and was accompanied by prompt and thoughtful communications via the Darklands staff. I could go on about the importance of their brick and mortar locations as well—in addition to the many gratifying and inimitable design choices that go into each iteration of Darklands—but I am convinced that will be inescapably evident to anyone who visits the boutique. You can’t miss it…

  The owner is a fraud. For brands that they are not allowed to price online he has changed the price arbitrarily and then lied about it. If you can buy elsewhere. If I had the option to select 0 stars I would.

  Darklands captured my loyalty in 2010 and I’ve never looked back. Simply a phenomenal, progressive boutique, which continually adjusts its collection to be as exclusive as possible. It’s amazing to find unique clothing that isn’t on a dozen websites, like almost everything else nowadays. If you’re uncomfortable with people stopping you on the street, in stores, or on the subway to ask you where you got your jacket, suit, or pants, you may wish to avoid Darklands!

  Martin was amazingly helpful and patient. Couldn’t have been a better experience. Not an easy place to locate, and I almost gave up... because there’s so much construction in the area... but glad I didn’t. 🔥🙏
