  Have you ever stayed in a castle? If not, then Hotel Burg Trendelburg is an excellent first choice. The location is said to have inspired the Brothers Grimm story Rapunzel, which is totally convincing when walking into and up the large tower. The hotel rooms, restaurant, and service are spectacular. The old castle feel is genuine, while the hotel room bathrooms are totally current. The restaurant has delicious food and friendly/attentive service. Local attractions are Hann. Münden (fantastic half timbered houses!) and Sleeping Beauty Castle Sababurg (it is currently closed for renovations, Dec 2023). A highly suggested longer distance drive is Goslar. The only downside is that driving is the only option for getting there. But if you do drive, it is easy to explore the local attractions.

  Really nice place to stay and explore. The service was amazing and everyone was very helpful. The rooms were spacious and the included breakfast was great. Even my tween daughters (who are not so much into fairy tales anymore) loved it! Must stay especially if you have kids that love Rapunzel.

  We went for a lovely Valentines breakfirst ,the service was very personal,attentive and nice - the food was lovely,it was a misty morning so the ambience was just right - fairytale like ,we ll be back - thank u !

  I had a most pleasant experience at Hotel Burg, Trendelburg. The staff were very friendly and I felt welcome even though I wasn't a guest. The magnificent foyer was a sight to behold. The garden was lovely and the Tower was beautifully presented and well worth the 4,50€ entry fee.

  I really like this place. It's a very romantic castle. The views.. the restaurant..the food. We never actually stayed at the hotel, I live in a city nearby, but I always prefer to go a few extra 40 km or so, only to have that great feeling. The staff were always nice and polite, I cannot say enough great things about this location.
