  After a long history of bad experiences with Volksbank and its customer advisors, I am now closing my accounts with this bank. The ultimate trigger was the shutdown of the ATM in Kayh. The response of the deputy chairman of the supervisory board Siegfried Dierberger to a letter to the editor in the Gäubote shocked me with wrongly researched facts and a drastic display of incompetence. The statement "the next ATM right around the corner" on the website is unfortunately just an empty, disappointing advertising promise. I hope the Volksbank will manage a change of course very soon (and perhaps also the obviously necessary change of personnel in the leading positions "we will clear the way ...") otherwise the future belongs to Internet banks like N26.

The board of directors must have completely lost contact with the base. As a young person 30 years ago, the account management fees of the Volksbank were a mystery and a reason to switch.
