::I have been a customer of this bank for a long time (over 20 years) and have never been let down, even in difficult times. The bank was always there for me when I needed it. For me it is very important to maintain personal contact with the bank and to always be seen as a person. A switch to another bank??? Never…!!! We were also provided with a very competent employee for our construction financing and everything was handled by Ms. G. to our complete satisfaction. This woman did a great job. Thank you very much Ms G… The only thing I didn't like was that I've had several different advisors with my checking account lately. Best regards

::We also had to make appointments there to open pocket money accounts. In general, these days nothing works without appointments, no matter where, because staff is short on staff. For us it was also several weeks lead time. But the staff is friendly and helpful and - it's on site, you can go there! Still, in times of mergers, this is no longer a given. This is not the case with online and internet banks, where you can get stuck in very long queues with questions and in the end it still doesn't work. We are grateful that there are still banks with service and approachable people on site, like here. Recommended.

::Incredibly bad... Yesterday, July 22nd. My wife and I wanted to open a savings account there with our daughter. She already has a pocket money account at VR Bank. The lady at the counter initially asked reproachfully why we hadn't made an appointment. For a savings account? We don’t want to discuss home financing! No, it won't be, it can't be that complicated. She then ran around for 10 minutes but couldn't find a colleague who could do it. We don't know why she didn't do this herself at the time. No, no one would have time. She would like to make an appointment for us with Ms. X, but she is on vacation now. Okay, we thought. We still have vacation this week. She looked and looked at the calendar and then suggested August 20th (!!!), in FOUR weeks. Seriously, dear Volksbank? We politely declined and left the bank. We will now set up an account for our daughter online at a direct bank. Takes 5 minutes, plus new video authentication. - so 10 minutes. And that relaxed, from home, without an appointment.... I can understand that a bank today doesn't make any money with a 14-year-old's savings account. Then you just stop offering it... But I thought tomorrow's customers were important to you. I guess I thought wrong... You definitely won't see us again. Oh, sorry, yes, to delete the pocket money account. As long as we get an appointment for it. Probably in October... I can't stop shaking my head...
