  Came into rehab after severe lung disease with a long artificial coma and various sequelae. I can only thank you. I felt that I was in good hands right from the start. First the positive: Kindness of the staff / therapists / doctors / nurses: Everyone was really super nice and always tried to do the best for you. The doctors always try to explain everything to you as well as they can. The social service (Ms. Hilmer) really tries to help you. I had some problems with difficult applications and she always had a solution for everything. Room (Stat. B2): Were okay, I was lucky enough to get a single room. But rather hospital charm. But they were always clean. But there are only shared bathrooms and showers. Food: Really great for a clinic, of course you can't expect a star cuisine, but with a few exceptions the food was always good. For breakfast there was always fresh bread. A real plus for me, as the food in the previous hospital was really horrible. Therapies: Rather mixed, but mostly quite good. The individual therapy units are usually too short. You have a lot of therapies that you actually need less and more important ones are neglected. In my case, for example, I had no physiotherapy for 5 weeks due to the physiotherapist's illness. Unfortunately, there were no complaints with the doctors or at the service point. But the therapists really try hard and are all very friendly without exception. Nevertheless, one makes progress in the therapies. All in all, a good rehabilitation clinic where you feel that you are in good hands.

  Hello, my name is Florian Bremer, I was there from 2007 to 2008, almost a whole year. I arrived there in a vegetative state, tied to bed, and thanks to Dr med Nolte, the therapists and doctors and the nurses, I can walk, eat, speak and, above all, think for myself. With the help of the Geesthacht Clinic, I was able to make unbelievable leaps, so far that some people say to me, "But you were lucky" or "You have no real disability", simply because you can hardly see it from the outside . Of course, I still have problems with my memory and orientation and am now suffering from epilepsy, but I also got married and we gave birth to a healthy daughter together. But all of my disabilities have been treated extremely well and improved a lot through occupational therapy, school, physiotherapy, psychology, speech therapy, etc. You just need a lot of patience and trust. If I can give a tip to the parents, never give up on your children and regardless of whether they are in a coma or a vegetative state, your child will feel that years later, when I told them about my dreams, they were words and objects of mine Room. I have a circle of friends, my wife and our daughter will soon have my own house, there are plans to have children and all of this with a severe craniocerebral trauma III, I don't want to give anyone false hopes here, but I want to give them the courage to believe in something and get over it delight in the small steps. I was 16 then, now I am 30 years old. Thank you very much for everything.

  My daughter and I were there for a good five weeks and are still very grateful that everything went so smoothly at such short notice. We both felt well looked after and looked after from the first contact. The scope of therapy was between three to five, sometimes even six, applications per day. My daughter's therapists were very committed and managed to build trust and thereby also self-confidence. Despite the Corona restrictions, the time was a complete success. We can only recommend the clinic and we really hope that there will be a reunion.
