::The conversation in the real estate center was pleasant, but the conditions offered and the process were disappointing. After my conversation, I found out more about freelance brokers. Here is my personal comparison: Processing time: Sparkasse Hanau: 4+ weeks of preliminary clarification and a further 2 weeks until a commitment is announced in the conversation: Free alternative: provisional financing confirmation within 24 hours, final partner had everything ready within 3 days Questions about documents: Sparkasse Hanau: many later questions Free alternative: 2x documents sent Conditions: Sparkasse Hanau: was around 4.6% at this point in time free alternative: cheapest offer 3.89%, most reasonable offer at ~4.1% Miscellaneous: Sparkasse Hanau: is actively trying to sell more insurance policies Free alternative(s) (several asked): in no single case did you actively try to sell insurance, but were advised that certain types of protection could make sense. Disappointing for a generally respected retail bank, but at least I have to highlight Mr. Geibig as a committed and very good employee who did his best. He saves at least one more star for Sparkasse Hanau.

::All we can really say is that everything worked out and we are very satisfied. From the preparation of the financing offer to the signature and further support, always friendly and very competent. Since we had a long journey, we even had a parking tip. After a bad experience with another savings bank, it was very reassuring that you wouldn't be left hanging.
