  My impression of the cooperation with Sparkasse Duisburg has changed significantly. Several customer centers have been closed and the possibility of personal contact has been eliminated, so to speak. The "personal contact person" can actually only be reached by email. You don't have a chance to reach your personal contact by phone. You have to be prepared for very long waiting times on the so-called telephone hotline and then you always have a different employee on the phone. Personal contacts are obviously no longer desired if they are not direct serve a business deal.

  To close an account, an appointment was refused, you could just do that at the counter, I was told, but that the queue at the counters almost extends to the B8 is probably not of interest. No wonder that customers stay away and branches are closed. Service is different.

  When the new Sparkasse opens, it remains to be seen how things will go. Because several savings banks have been merged. This will probably become apparent at the end of the month, when all the 'job seekers' storm the cash register. Although the Sparkasse is now huge, you feel in good hands there. The staff is always very friendly and I have been given good advice for half a century.
