  After the introduction of micro-transactions, every account movement became too expensive. Every card payment now costs money, especially in times of digitalization. One can only dream of digitalization here. If you're not there because you've moved, quitting is more complicated than leaving a cult. There are no opening times on Saturdays either, otherwise I would have traveled to Bochum on a Saturday to cancel my contract. By the way, emails from employees read like scam emails (very bad German) and you can hardly understand the employees on the phone because the money collected is apparently not invested in new phones and the audio quality is catastrophic (hiss, crackling). For two months now I have been receiving new documents that I have to sign to cancel my contract. The SEPA mandate for the transfer of the remaining balance and the ongoing financing, termination of the account, termination of the credit card, etc. But not everything at once, the employee gradually remembers it, so that the termination takes a long time and again account management fees due for another month. By the way, I have already sent a notice of termination with exactly these items by registered mail, but the Sparkasse's own forms have to be sent back and forth again. Total nonsense

  It takes too long, it's difficult to understand where you need to go with what concerns, so you end up queuing 2/3 times. Why spend money on a toy robot instead of an employee to change these tan devices? Everyone forces you to buy expensive tanning devices and not accepting the old ones is also a disgrace.

  Phone service is usually rude, service in person is usually alright and the online portal is complete and utter garbage.

  The service is very good. The employees speak good English, try their best to understand the problems and help as much as they can. One of the best banks in Germany.
