  This place has really good bakery items for an affordable price. Inside the bakery is a small souvenir and a book shop.

  Even though I have learned the German language, I feel I was unjustly treated by an elderly lady serving at this store. I have been polite and patient, but she made me feel my Canadian accent was a problem and kept to quite rude, impolite and pushy method of demanding I quickly put forth my order. Food was decent, but not happy with this treatment. Respect and a smile goes a long way.

  When one reads "landcafe" the expectations are of a lovely locally run cafe, with possibly local products. Instead, the owner will flash a "gut und günstig" ham box that sure enough will appear on your breakfast plate, together with some plastic cheese. There is something in the kitchen that beeps incredibly loud every 10 minutes or so. The owners are nice but coming in the middle of the black forest for this food is a joke. It would suffice to take even a little inspiration from the nearby Goldene Krone to drastically improve both ambiance (the kids corner is half taken by the empty ice cream freezer, there is no coziness in the room) and food.
