Very nice rooms. The water in my shower was leaking from the handle, but otherwise very nice. I was part of a larger group and the bar was not able to serve us what we wanted (no glasses, no rum etc.). The food was alright, but not stunning.

Almost a perfect experience, but for some reason the rooms are heated to 25°C with no option of turning the heater off. We kept the windows open, but that is not an energy-efficient option in any case.

Pros - The staff was kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. The location is wonderful. Cons - The outdoor lighting is designed to be artistic instead of functional. This can cause problems at night since you walk on cobblestones and dirt paths. Some areas are not lit at all. Some lights shine in your eyes or are positioned so they cast shadows on the already dark path. This can be quite dangerous. The food is ok, but not great. You can get a much better meal for a better price in Klütz or Boltenhagen. The coffee is terrible.

Stayed one night and was not impressed with the service: lobby area was dirty (sand brought in by guests from the beach, I expect, which isn’t a big deal, but should still be cleaned rather than left there over night), restaurant (Brasserie) was very disappointing (food less than mediocre and ambience very careless and bare), and staff did only the absolute minimum (no endeavour to create welcome or friendly atmosphere, no pro-active sharing of information). The one strong point that stood out (hence 3 stars despite all the above) was the provision made for dogs: no restrictive rules, but practical measures offeres such as little wash station by the entrence, furniture covers, bags and treats in the room, dirct access to garden from room,… Someone has put some thought into this.

Spent a couple of days there. Fantastic location. 300 m to the beach which is barely crowded at all. Great surrounding for bike tours and walks. Staff is super engaged and welcoming.
