  We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Old historic place. Nice with a little balcony. Lovely people and so nice with the little welcome package for our dog in the room. He loved the small soft mattress.

  This hotel is in a building from 1753. That means that it’s not like a standard American chain hotel with the most logical setup. This hotel has charme. The restaurant is not low priced but fair priced: ingredients are mostly local and biological. The chef uses max 6 ingredients so you can actually taste the different flavors. I call it honest cooking with a local cuisine. The 7 course meal with wine for EUR 89 per person is highly recommended. Staff is very friendly, works hard and has fun. I recommend to stay at this place for an enjoyable time together. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you’re a light sleeper. Bring a face mask if you require a dark room to sleep.

  Beautiful hotel, with a very friendly staff and really good breakfast. The hotel design is very similar to those famous German houses you see in the movies, so you can really experience what's like staying in such a place, but at the same time you still have all the comforts of a modern hotel. The bathroom is amazing, the bed is comfortable, and the rooms are warm. I highly recommend it if you are driving by this area. Special thanks to everyone working at this hotel, every member of staff treated us so well.

  Friendly personnel can not cover deficit with thin insulation, street noise and not tight light insulation. Woke up at 5 and hard time to enjoy the place. Should invest in curtains and better windows

  This place tries with some success to bring a touch of gourmet to Hamm. We had the romantic menu. The service at the start was slow, 20 mins to get a drink, but for the rest of the meal it was better. The servers are really friendly and accomodating. As for the food, they know how to cook liver well. I would not choose the Pot au Feu, the Potato tasted powdery, and the fish was overcooked for me. The sauces for meat are all very flavourful. The homemade ice and sorbet are very tasty. The price point is expensive for the area, but you would pay in Köln much more for an inferior offering.
