::I will definitely return to this hotel when I go to Hamburg. First reason is the location, you really are based if a stone throw from railway station Dammtor. You are very close to the most attractive places of the center. Our room off of view full south so we could see the entire panorama of Hamburg including the opera house. All staff members were exemplary, friendly. We highly recommend.👍👍👍

::A very wonderful hotel, clean and tidy. The reception staff are very kind and tasteful and are ready to serve you with all capabilities. The rooms are excellent and very clean and the breakfast buffet is varied and delicious،،، This is an invitation to everyone who has not seen Hamburg to see it from this hotel.

::The rooms are... Okay. It's weird that a long and expensive booking gets a much lower floor than people booking for half the price and half the time and they end up 10 floors above you. The first room we had was super noisy from the elevator. The second room was quiet, but the shower smelled like the sewer. Room service and breakfast was excellent and the location is convinient. Parking rate in the congress garage was reduced for hotel guests.

::The only reason I’m giving 3 stars and not 5: the rooms are not up to 4 star standard. It looks like the rooms were done 30 years ago and never again refurbished. 4 star doesn’t mean you get a hotel that doesn’t do upgrades to the rooms and rest of the hotel. I feel it’s definitely an overcharge for what you are getting. Yes, it’s close to the train station which is convenient and yes, there is a beautiful park around the hotel BUT that doesn’t make up for paying a lot of money and it not being used to refresh the look of the hotel every now and again.

::Wanted to give 2,5🌟 PRO: +1 🌟 For location right next to the S-trains, and walking distance to nearby harbor area with some local activities, and the DOM amusement park, and right next to the Botanical Garden and riverside. Great view from our rooms. +1🌟 for the general class and atmosphere with interior design, and on location amenities to offer. As well ver nice privacy in the rooms, thanks to the building design. +0,5 🌟Breakfast had a lot of different options to offer and were very diverse and tasty! CONS: - 1,5 ⭐ for customer service. The receptionist's were friendly, and the waiter at the evening restaurant. 🛑 YET no one offered information on activities, on transportation and when asking the staff directly (several of them) they couldn't even inform on their SPA opening hours, what the amenities they offered in the SPA. 🤷🏼♀️ Not even flyer or commercial on nearby attractions. 🛑 We got several different answers on how to book and pay for services, which then were incorrect. Eg. Reception told we could stuff on our hotel bill tab, but after eating, or when using the SPA, we were then asked to pay directly there, so we had to go up/down the rooms to find our wallet's. 🛑In the SPA, they expect and push hard for tips, while being 50/50 on speaking English. I would expect a high class hotel would have employees fluent in English, and already pay their staff enough salary, to not ask the customers directly several times, for tips/bigger tips. 🛑The staff at the breakfast was not very smiling or welcoming. We come down to have a happy breakfast, and felt like we were in their way. We even said good morning and tried to make jokes when random casually interacting, because we felt uncomfortable with the gloomy atmosphere. We felt like we were in a cafeteria setup at a freeway rest stop. - 0,5⭐ all food we ordered at dinner, was really disappointing. Pizza tasted like a frozen one was heated up. The overall quality of my friends meal were also poor. OK presentation, but taste and quality were sad. They didn't give discount to my friend although he is a VIP member, and they have commercialized, that he would get -15% on food and SPA. 🤷🏼♀️ -0,5 ⭐ my friend paid big buck for double rooms for each person. With 1 person in each. We asked for quiet location as we are light sleepers. They said "no problem, we got a lot of space".. we both got rooms on each side of the elevators --> a lot of technical noise and guest noise. As well, one of the room they had forgotten to restock with slippers and robes, the shower cabin door was broken, and the curtain too. They also had "mini fridge" but offered ZERO amenities in them. 🤷🏼♀️
