  The staff, ambience and room at this hotel were superb. It made for such a special post-Xmas night for me, my boyfriend and our dog. I would highly recommend.

  Excellent 6 night stay; clean, spacious (updated) rooms; excellent service; great location convenient to the center of town, the terme and an easy bus ride to the train station. We also enjoyed the bar area for evening snacks and drinks. The only slight negative is the lack of a coat rack and drying rack.

  We've been staying at the Quellenhof quite a few times over the last 15 years, as a couple as well as a family. We could witness that services that made most of the pleasure of our stays at this hotel are less and less present, to be reduced to nearly no service at all on our last stay from 08/12/2023 to 10/12/2023 in a Classic Suite. When you book a Classic Suite as a couple with a child, you would expect some welcome amenities in the suite upon arrival (a fruit basket, a few chocolates maybe, at least 2 bottles of water, a small gift for your child). This is how it used to be a few years ago. Well, nothing... and the suite was not even fully ready upon arrival at 8pm as the door to the living room was locked. No care for details that count and make the stay at the Quellenhof different and worth the price. Only 2 glasses in the bathroom, same in the bedroom... Should our child have drunk in our glasses? Worse, the extra-bed for our child was charged 35 Euro per night! A fee that wasn't mentioned upon booking confirmation and that had never been applied on our former stays. We have complained and are looking forward to being refunded the 70 Euro mistakenly charged. The bed was comfortable. Nonetheless, although the bedroom had recently been refurbished, the living room hadn't and we could see stains on the sofa, on the floor... Decoration was fine in the bedroom but no effort had been made to have a pleasant and clean living room (same furniture as it used to be 15 years ago!). Breakfast time is a nice moment at the Quellenhof. It is still ok but the staff is no longer there to assist and take away dirty plates and cups. On Saturday morning, I felt very lucky that I was not sick after realizing I had started eating a yoghurt that should have been thrown away on 25/11, i.e. 2 weeks before! The waiter was really sorry but that should definitely not happen. The spa that we loved so much has turned out to be a quite unfriendly place: a too cool swimming-pool, massages that need to be booked a long time ahead... We prefer to go and have some good time at the Carolus Thermen. Let's finish with room service, that is no longer available... and the water bottle charged 8.50 Euro if you want one during your stay. The staff simply tells you that one bottle only is free, upon arrival.... Well, clearly, the Quellenhof no longer is what made it so special, so welcoming. The quality-price ratio has clearly turned out to be poor. A big disappointment!

  We had a great weekend stay at this Grande Dame of Aachen visiting Christmas market. Very impressive hotel. The grandeur of the building and surroundings is not overwhelming. Breakfast is very good and pool is a nice addition. Rooms are spacious

  Stately hotel with an aura of (slightly outdated) grandeur both inside and out. This was particularly evident in the room. The bathroom was old-fashioned tiled and for the shower you had to step into the bathtub. Only one side of the bed had a plug available. However, the extras offered by the hotel more than compensated for these downsides. A super good bed and pillow, very thick luxurious towels, a nice spacious pool and sauna and, above all, the excellent breakfast. A very extensive choice and a staff member especially for a corner with eggs, where you can order your egg according to personal preference, even with diced vegetables fried on the spot in a dense thick omelette. Parking underground is narrow, but there is also an above-ground car park with larger parking spaces. This car park normally operates with a barrier security, it was now broken and was always open. A 10-minute walk from the city centre with the Cathedral. At the back the city park with the Carolus thermal baths, a lot of hotel guests went for a jog there. Tip: recommended to check in online in advance, checking in on site causes long waiting times at reception. All in all a very good service, I would definitely book back here
