As a Parkinson's patient, I cannot recommend this clinic: I had a DBS operation (brain pacemaker) in neurosurgery in February 2023, which was probably very promising. However, the follow-up care in neurology was a disaster! A week after the operation I was sent home, I could barely walk, but they said the pacemaker was working and, in my current opinion, didn't give me enough medication. It later turned out that the stimulator was not able to develop its full effect at that point due to edema and that the electrodes could still change their position in the first 3 months. If I hadn't had my family during this time, who helped me tremendously, I would have been desperate. After the 3 months, I was there again as an inpatient for 3 days in June and the settings on the stimulator were supposed to be optimized, which was not satisfactorily successful, but I was still sent home. At another outpatient appointment, they tinkered around a bit and then recommended that I go to a Parkinson's specialist clinic with DBS expertise... (To say the least, that's a declaration of bankruptcy for me). I did that and was at the Paracelsus Elena Clinic in Kassel in August 23, where the doctors finally managed to find a very satisfactory attitude. Last week I was summoned again to Würzburg for the annual inspection. A fine-tuning of the system would have been necessary. My medication was switched to new ones but there was no DBS specialist who could reset the system! One was sick and the rest were not in the house, so I wonder why I was called in at all. I basically just sat around for 6 days and the actual problem wasn't solved again! This is just extremely disappointing!!!! Conclusion: Neurosurgery good, neurology underground! If you're thinking about having a DBS operation, please don't go to Würzburg. I definitely recommend going to a special clinic like Kassel. They work closely with the Göttingen University Hospital and the follow-up care is worlds better, I learned that from patients who were there.

We were in the emergency room with my mother on Boxing Day morning. Miss Dr. Kreß and nurse Udo were very friendly and the examination was extensive and careful. The mother remained hospitalized for another four days for a complete evaluation. Further intensive investigations were carried out here. I think you're in good hands here.

I was here regarding spinal canal stenosis surgery preparation/clarification etc. It was a wonderful experience I was able to have here 🙏❤️‍🩹💪 A lot of time was taken to explain the pros and cons of the operation. Doctors would like to operate quickly and quickly because it allows them to earn money, and that is by no means the case here at the UNI Clinic. I am still deeply touched by the positive experience I had 🙏 You are still treated as a human being here. I just say THANK YOU to the competent and friendly team for the great advice. My special THANKS 🙏goes to Dr. Pakos, he is a genius and a human being at the same time.

I was operated on at the Würzburg University Clinic/Neurology House B1 and, after a night in the intensive care unit, transferred to Ward 4 West. All examinations and the operation went without any problems. Upon request, I was given a single room, which was unusual given the occupancy. The nurses, doctors, the nurses were motivated, but sometimes also in a time crunch and overloaded. In the end, they always tried to support me! As a vegetarian the food was a real surprise, varied and tasty meals. I would like to thank the team for making me feel better again!🫶
