  The hotel itself is nice, and check in is very easy. I stayed in a dormitory. I believe I booked an 8 person dorm, but for whatever reason I was placed in a 6 person room. This wouldn't be an issue, except in this room, two of the beds are pushed up against each other to make a full bed. I don't know why they would set up the room like this, but I wound up non-consensually cuddling with the stranger next to me who was constantly drifting over to my bed in his sleep. I don't want to give a low score because other than this one quirk, my stay was perfectly fine. But this one quirk did ruin my night of sleep, which is the thing I paid for and the bare minimum I expected to have.

  For one night close to the airport and for a cheap price it is fine. Also the staff was pretty friendly. However, the dormitory rooms have a double size bed and I was booked in there with another guest that I didn’t know. That was a quit awkward situation. Also the rooms are quite small and the aircon/ heater is incredibly loud and goes off every couple minutes. Generally rather a bad experience.

  Hotel was fine for our one-night stay. That said, it was hard to get the manager to return our money when it transpired that the airline had actually booked another hotel for us for the second night. Breakfast was okay. The shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel was free but return to the airport costs 6 euro. That is a bit cheeky and not clear from the booking. The shuttle doesn't run for a couple of hours during the day.

  I stayed at Meininger after having a cancelled flight. I kept my luggage at a storage at the airport and took the airport Bus to the Hotel (very convenient to approach even thought it was 2 am in the morning). the space was good and there was a good vibe at their 24 hours Bar (which i did not use much).

  Nothing fancy, but totally adequate for what you pay. Quiet, no frills room. Pretty clean. My room had that European thing where two mattresses are pushed together to form a larger bed with two separate comforters, one for each mattress, which would be awkward for a couple. Decent breakfast buffet with lots to choose from. Check-in was quick and easy. The shuttle from the airport was also quick and convenient, although it is shared with several other hotels.
