Other then the location, a bit far from centre, everything was good. Bed was comfortable, the decoration of the room was exciting. Breakfast was good also. There are too many details around to discover in the hotel which I liked most

The hotel is nice, well decorated and as good amenities. Rooms are ok, a little bit small if you have two suitcases. View from the balcony was obstructed but good enough to watch the new year's fireworks. Bedding was nice and fluffy with good pillows, but there were already a few spots and hairs when we arrived. Bathroom had a lot of limescale residue on everything, especially the shower head. The shower has no door, so the bathroom had a tendency to flood. Additionally the sink was very low for a 6' person and water splashed everywhere. The bathroom doors closed well enough to keep sound inside. The room service menu looked good and was well priced, but we eventually didn't end up ordering anything. The spa only has fitness machines and 3 saunas. The were open from 3pm to 10pm, but at specific times you had to call the front desk to get it switched on. No pool. Location was good, easy to reach by train and car and quiet at night. Service was very nice and friendly! On the more expensive side for what you get, payed 300€ for 2 nights. Breakfast is an additional 50€per person.

The best part of the hotel was the breakfast! A truly fantastic selection! On the less positive side: the rooms were way too hot and we got money taken out of our credit card at daily intervals to a sum that was 50% above our actual cost price! The hotel was put to winter heating and so none of the two rooms we had could be turned below 25 degrees heat!! Firstly that’s incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in, secondly incredibly unsustainable !! we asked 3 days in a row for someone to come help us reduce the thermostat. Every time we were told someone would come and every day we were forgotten. We had to sleep with open doors to make sure we got some fresh air in the room as 25 degrees is not what we consider comfortable for sleep. Regarding the charge we were not informed that they would be blocking money on the credit card on a daily basis. When I asked they said this is just a holding and wouldn’t be removed. However what happened instead is that I paid on check out and instead of releasing the way above price blocked money their credit institute actually took the Value + 50% off my credit card and only paid it back to me 10 days later - again in intervals. The miscommunication on payments was really frustrating and I find a bit of a disappointment for a 4 star hotel. All in all, it was OK but would have expected a bit better from 4 stars.

Altogether a very nice hotel. The location is conveniently just a couple hundred meters from U2 station. I walked from there at close to midnight and felt safe and ok. The building and interior are furnished in a stereotypical "African" style, with a lot of animal photos, woodden decors, some "woodo" looking wall figures etc. Whether one likes it is a personal preference. Room was spacious enough and what you would expect in 4-star hotel - no less no more. Wifi was free but slow - I quickly had to switch to mobile data. A large breakfast hall with a kid's corner tobkeep the little ones busy while one leisurly enjoys the 7th cup of coffee. Can't speak about other services as I had just one nights stay but would be happy to return.

found all hotel staff very friendly, whilst German is not my first language engaging with staff was no problem. After travelling for two days to meet business deadlines arriving at hotel before official check in time, very efficient reception staff were able to identify a room ready so some well needed sleep could be achieved. My thanks to them for saving the day Accommodation very comfortable and good breakfast to set one up for the day. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to Hamburg.
