::Last summer I was allowed to visit the Limes Schlossklinken in Teterow and was treated there for 12 weeks. The stay in rural seclusion and the therapies were very good for me. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent accommodation in single rooms and the excellent cuisine. Living together among the patients was also very helpful. The Limes motto “back to life with new strength” is 100% true! I am very happy to have been there. V. Honest

::Astonished, I opened an email today that asked me via a lawyer to delete this review I had written. Mind you - without any prior contact or queries from the Limes Clinic. My review is based on my personal experiences at this clinic. Reason for stay: grief/depression I'm happy to give two stars for the food, the service staff, the care point, the sports, physio, music and art therapy. The clinic initially seemed very professional. The website was promising. During the stay, however, ongoing promised treatments (to which one was supposedly entitled according to the tariff) were canceled without replacement. For those who are sick or on vacation Therapists had no buffer whatsoever. Of course the costs remained. The room in the attic was difficult to ventilate and warm. I could hardly lie on the mattress, so after a few days I developed severe back pain. So it was hard to sleep. There were unpleasant incidents between very aggressive male patients, so I really didn't like going out to eat. However, it was forbidden to take anything to eat into the room. On the other hand, other patients had trays of food left in front of their door. The group sessions were torture for me. On weekends and some evenings, patients who were given strong medication walked around the grounds and the nearby lake drunk. -Apparently no one from the clinic side was interested in this. I felt increasingly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I was also unable to build a trusting relationship with my very young psychotherapist. Quite the opposite! -Without my knowledge, an extension request was formulated that was absolutely unacceptable. I then left the clinic at my own request. Disappointing...

::A place where you get time to heal. The saying “Back to life with new strength” fits 100%. Every employee does their best to support recovery. I can only recommend the clinic.

::Beware of ripping off patients!!! Before the day of arrival we agreed to stay for a week for diagnostic purposes. Being released on Saturday as discussed, suddenly no one knew anything about it. I had to be released “against medical advice”, which in turn meant that another day had to be paid in full. Those responsible don't care what the patient's situation is. Just money-making and rip-offs!

::Beautiful ambience, very, very pleasant environment for fellow patients, exquisite food like in a gourmet restaurant, almost loving professional attention from many sides! In other words, actually wonderful - and yet: anyone who chooses this clinic should definitely familiarize themselves with the conditions of the closed psychiatric hospital in Güstrow beforehand. Because if this clinic no longer knows how to proceed with therapy, then it quickly orders the ambulance, has the emergency doctor flown in (!) and transports the patient to Güstrow against his express will, noting that a court will decide whether he will continue to stay there in the closed psychiatric hospital have located. This is what happened to me on January 9th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., after I had spoken out as an outspoken supporter of euthanasia in a discussion the day before (!), on January 8th, 2019 at around 10:00 a.m. This was reported to the senior doctor treating me, who let me know that unfortunately the clinic was not equipped to deal with cases as severe as mine. He then locked the consultation room door behind me and, with the help of nurses and a colleague, used force to prevent me from leaving the room. When the emergency doctor flew in, I was escorted out with a heavy escort and to the ambulance. When I was admitted to Güstrow, I was lucky enough to be able to prove to the doctor that the admission had not been ordered by my senior physician, but by his colleague, who didn't know me at all. And so half an hour later I was on the street and was allowed to take the train back to Hamburg in the evening. So why not do it this way – without any deprivation of freedom? Something like this happened to me for the first time in many years of my life in the Limes Castle Clinic and for this outrageous nonsense I later received an additional bill from the emergency services for EUR 2,631. Against this background, I can only warn against placing too much trust in the healing promises of this clinic: should perhaps only those who actually do not need it be treated here for depression?
