It's what it is; clean, serviceable, friendly; a good night's sleep at a reasonable price...

Been here a lot of times. I like it better then the other Ibis... not so far away from my client and a bit nearer to everything else.

Very nice ibis hotel! Very good price for this hotel. Same infrastructure as other ibis hotels. Especially here, a very good breakfast.

This is probably the best Ibis I have stayed in. Hence the four star review is relative to Ibis and budget hotels (and not relative to all hotels). The rooms are spacious enough to spread out a little bit. The entry foyer helps, as it's a place to store shoes, coats etc. We were both surprised and impressed with the excellent breakfast (11 euro extra but well worth it). Lots of fresh fruit, breads, cheese, meats, and good scrambled eggs too. The coffee is ok. We also enjoyed excellent service, both in the restaurant and in any interactions with the front desk. This hotel is actually slightly closer to the main Aachen train station than the Ibis that is named such- a bit confusing. If you have a car, parking is available for 8 euros a night, or you can try parking in the local neighborhood (some of it is paid, some free, depending on how far you want to walk). Our only quibble was that some rooms allow smoking, something we are not used to anymore as this has been banned for sometime in the US. So, you need to specify when you make a reservation.
