    very lovely scenic location overlooking the Rhine Valley with France, the vogesen hills, and neuf brisach on the other side of the Rhine. food is good, the breakfast buffet is generously stocked and the service is friendly

    Beautiful location and really nice restaurant but unfortunately the waiters spoke little English so we didn't get what we ve ordered( for 5 times 😕) The food was really good.. we ve paid a bit much but the food was worth it.

    Unfortunately, I had to attend for German Society of Cardiology (DGK) meeting in this hotel which is well-equipped. I had a horrible experience and never want to be there again. First, due to a presentation and computer work, I was there at 12 pm although I was aware that the check in is possible from 2 pm onwards. The receptionist was so rude, could not find my name because it was booked by name of Dr. Hosen. I requested to check again and confirmed by calling organiser! I refused to check and was very rude with organizer!!!!! After several phone call she found my name, she was super annoyed by this. I left and roam around city and went back at 2 pm. Everybody already smoothly checking in but I am the only one who count not because my room need to be clean for 5 min which ended up after 45 minutes of waiting at very last one after all rooms were allocated!!! Still she was never ever friendly or polite and doesn't even care how to behave with guests!!!!!!! I found a full of ignorance and resist behaviour!!!!!!! If you are international there be careful you might be treated differently!!!

    I will only give 2 stars only to a place which otherwise could rate so much better but on two separate occasions I had a really disappointing customer service experiences which is why I am not coming back again. First time I booked breakfast for 2 of us via their reservations team via email and on the morning when we came they didn't have our reservation....I showed email correspondence, we were allowed in but were not shown to be table, serving staff told us we can sit where we find space which is okay but I think would be appropriate to be seated and greeted if they claim to be the type of restaurant. Also, I asked for a table with a view which was not guaranteed and I can understand that but when I asked staff if we can have a table with a view because I saw tables available or soon to be cleared, we were told there were no availability however the whole section of their upper terrace was empty so could have easily seated us. We sat down there hoping somebody would come and prepare the table but nobody acknowledged. We ended up staying and having breakfast but found breakfast buffet to be really small in terms of offering and not refilled with items as often as you would hope. Second time I visited, was just in the afternoon just for a coffee and I had my laptop with me and I was not so politely asked to leave the restaurant terrace because they would start evening service and they needed the tables..it could be language barrier but serving staff literally said: I wanted to tell you that you can go now ( word by word), then I asked if I were a guest and was having a dinner there would they tell me to leave? The answer I got was something about needing to pre-book, great, but maybe the right way to speak to customer would be to explain how they can make a booking and not just turn the guest away...I would understand if the terrace didn't have availability but at the moment this was happening there was only 1 table taken and all others were free...so it's a long rant from my side but honestly this has annoyed me quite a bit, I have seen few hotels in my days but rarely such upsetting service. Not coming back
