::This hotel is in the PERFECT location in Bamberg. Situated right at the river and the little island section where the tourist information office is located, this hotel is both in the most supremely picturesque location and within easy walking distance to basically everything in town. The rooms are updated and clean, with very comfortable beds. Make sure you bring conditioner and lotion as the hotel only provides shampoo and soap. Book through their website directly and you'll get credits to use at their restaurant, which is totally worth eating at. Breakfast is served from 7 am til close every day (you'll be hard pressed to find breakfast that early anywhere else in the city) and is absolutely delicious. So is dinner, for that matter. My only complaint - which isn't exactly a deal breaker for me - the hotel is not air conditioned and we happened to be in Europe during one of the hottest Augusts they've seen. We just left our windows open and were more or less ok. If/when I'm back in Bamberg, I'll be staying here again!
