  Clean and modern hotel in superb location close to Koln Cathedral, railway station and shops / restaurants. We received an upgrade, so can only comment on the superior room, which had all the facilities you would expect (including a coffee pod machine rather than instant coffee) plus a great view of the cathedral. As some previous reviews have mentioned, the bathroom does have a partially frosted glass window which looks out onto the bedroom area - but we didn't find this to be a problem as far as light disturbance or privacy is concerned - if you're sharing a hotel room with someone, you're presumably somewhat familiar. The room also has a nifty floor level light which comes on when you walk towards the bathroom - very useful for night time visits! The breakfast buffet was very good, and stayed open until midday!

  We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the the location was really good, being close the the train station, the cathedral, the Rhine and many restaurants and cafes.

  We had a pleasure staying in Hotel Mondial am Dom, hotel is just excellent! We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids, booked interconnecting room, which was very handy. Rooms were just spotless, so cosy and beds very comfortable, we had a good night sleep. Location is just fantastic, very central, especially if attending christmas markets. Staff very friendly, especially receptionist Valeria, so lovely and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel! 10/10

  The central location, combined with private parking, made this an excellent choice. Our superior room was quite larger - larger than in most city centre hotels. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel as we felt €29 per person per day was excessive. Everything else about the hotel was very good.

  The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful which we noticed particularly in the breakfast room where they ensured we had delicious vegetarian omelettes each day. We were disappointed with the poor choice of pastries at breakfast particularly as vegetarians. The hotel was perfectly situated as everything was within walking distance including the railway station. The bedroom was immaculate spacious and afforded an excellent nights sleep and the standard of room cleaning was very good.
