  We stayed here for 1 night. Very friendly reception from the lady at the reception even though we checked in late. I can recommend the hotel.

  If we could give 6 stars to a hotel ,/ restaurant we would award them to this one. Everything was just perfect. The restaurant and wine list are easily worth Michelin stars. The room was spotless and the staff welcome warm, generous, and helpful. We will return. Sylvia and Matthew BURNETT

  The interaction with the hotel staff was serviceable but the coldest we'd experienced during our entire trip (where we stayed at 5 places in total). The 3 pax room did not have any heating option (or if it did, we couldn't find it). Location is at a quiet district and we did see some interesting things, such as the neighboring houses having bonfires or outdoor camping fires on cold nights. One thing I must point out - we had the truffle menu at the hotel restaurant, and the food was totally inedible due to the addition of too much salt. Every mouthful was a struggle between our wallets, tastebuds and kidneys; in the end, we finished the food simply because we couldn't bear to waste our money (congrats wallets, RIP kidneys). Well, perhaps we should have pointed this out to the chef after the first course. I know it's a bib gourmand place but it's such a pity that quality ingredients such as scallops and white truffles were wasted by being subjected to salt drowning. We probably had 5 days' worth in one meal.

  Relaxed atmosphere with very courteous staff. Excellent restaurant. The view from our room was not great but it was very clean with good quality bed linen. The pool was not too busy. We would certainly stay here again when visiting the Black Forest

  I enjoyed my room and the service was nice. The breakfast situation, as in other hotels, has been affected by COVID. Still, it was better than I expected. Their on-site restaurant is excellent. I also had one day where the weather was warm enough that my wife and I could get in the pool. Overall: Recommended. Note: It's also close to transit and it's really easy to get to the center of Freiburg for sightseeing.
