::The odd and jarring Caribbean restaurant on the ground floor of this hotel is a menace to the hotel guests who want to enjoy a restful early night at this establishment. First of all, no AC or even simple electric fans are available to guests; so in order to keep the room at a comfortable temperature to sleep, you have to open the windows. The drunk and loud customers of the weird Carribbean restaurant/cocktail bar located right underneath the bedroom windows will make sure you are annoyed and disturbed until midnight. You can try closing the windows, and still hear enough noise, and endure stuffiness on top of that. The rooms were basic and dated. There is nothing modern about this place. It has a very 70s/80s vibe and probably has not been renovated since. Small old TV like a computer monitor, with no international channels (isn't that a criteria for a 4 star hotel?) In short, this hotel cannot be recommended. We had friends staying at other hotels in Eisenach for the wedding we were all attending, and they showed us pictures of their hotels which are all nicer and more modern. They also said they didn't have any issue with disturbing noise. The only good point of this hotel was a perfectly acceptable breakfast. The chef gets extra points for knowing how to boil eggs so that they peel easy and for not over cooking the yolks.

::The building is very old in style and Arcitecture the reception feels very welcoming lots of information and things to look at. Receptionist spoke English too and was very friendly. The room was huge for a hotel and I would also like to make a comment about the heating as it's traditional radiators which are perfect. Compared to the modern air conditioning miles better and the windows open! Bathroom very clean. Only thing that was missing was a kettle. Breakfast I didn't see any toast but the selection got everything else was huge. Fruits, cereals, honey, orange juice etc...

::4 star? It is a nice and old hotel seems got the stars in 1980... No problem at all but really oldies. Welcome in NDK. But really clean, good restaurant, nice breakfast, but nowadays it seems only 3 star hotel.

::Convenient location to downtown, the marketplace, and the train station. Almost right across from the city park where you can take a quiet stroll. The room price was a bit higher than I would have liked. The prices at the restaurant are definitely too high for the value. Room was very clean and ut had all the required amenities. One thing that was odd is you need to use your room key to lock/unlock the door even from the inside. You have to place the key into the holder on the wall right next to the door to be able to use the lights/electricity in your room. I would have rather preferred a proper deadbolt/latch on the door as this most certainly will cause a problem if you need to leave your room quickly in an emergency.
