  The hotel is a german icon with a rich heritage & history dating back from the Emperor days. Beautifully & fully rebuilt after its collapse under Easter Germany, it celebrates Prussian culture & craftmanship. That said, now 20 years after it's grand reopening, an insolvency, Corona, etc. it's clear that the unit economics are still not working at Heiligendamm. Cost cutting has been relentless, up to the point that much of the initial splendour is gone. The breakfast used to be exquisit, now it isn't any more. Just average. Food at the Nelson Bar & the Spa is very pricey and without any frills. Too few and untrained staff. Beds don't get mounted for day-service any more. Those beautiful & expensive covers remain unused int the closets. Entertainment in the rooms is outdated. Hardly any electric plugs, forget USB altogether. Much of the infrastructure doesn't get the maintenance it requires. So prepare for some things not to work properly. The staff is doing what it can but as a guest, having visited over a dozen times since 2007, I can't help but feeling sad to see this beautiful hotel unwind. Used to be rightfully called a leading hotel in the world. Today, sadly no more.

  Best Hotel in Germany i ever stayed We went to this hotel for our 2nd wedding anniversary. When we arrived at the main gate, we felt already that was a luxury hotel from the way your concierge team treated us. Never feel that kind of hospitality while I'm traveling in Germany. The Check-in processed was good, but our reception did not really give us more information about what happening at the hotel. For exp: there was a white night the next night ( not even trying to upsell us, which suitable for the hotel if we want to join anyway). We stayed with our three months baby girl; usually, another luxury hotel has kids amenities prepared for a baby and kids. But not for this hotel (which maybe this can be their improvement later on). The facilities are great. The housekeeping team is doing an excellent job too. Love their breakfast selection. And I would like to mention your staff called Jessica from breakfast waitress. She is incredible. She has full of spirit, and positive energy all around always smiles and very fast. The kids Club building is AMAZING — 3 floors, including theater and every kid, would dream

  Absolutely wonderful hotel and location, with amazing staff and service. The rooms are super comfortable, with a big bath tub and a wonderful shower. Great sound insulation as well, which is always great. One of the things that bothers me the most in hotels is how usually you can't really block out the light if you want to sleep longer in the morning but here the thick, heavy curtains were placed in a way that allowed me to completely block the light. I got a room with a small balcony with an amazing view to the sea. The bar is super cozy and serves tasty snacks and small meals that are delicious. The Christmas decorations were beautiful as well.

  Elegant, classy, prestigious - a super luxury resort right on the beach. Serene, discreet, peaceful and private - aristocratic in many ways. Impeccable service, excellent food and a state-of-the-art Spa. Truly deserves the appellative of "The Hamptons of Europe"
