  On September 22nd, 2020 I went to Wendgräben spontaneously after prior arrangement with the Gezeitenhaus because I was feeling very bad mentally. Many accumulated events associated with childhood trauma made my daily life difficult. In Wendgräben I felt that I was well understood and treated with the highest esteem right from the start. The patient is treated with great respect and friendliness by the therapists, doctors and nursing staff alike. In the end I stayed for 147 days and returned to my home country. I learned to be mindful of the outside world and to love myself. Daily meditation made me much calmer. Having learned to self-regulate, my fears and worries are less. Having experienced art, I am proud of myself. Thank you Wendgräben for the great life experience associated with so much love. Thanks to the entire staff, which was always friendly. The kitchen is geared towards TCM and I have very, very rarely eaten something that was previously on the menu. My personal special thanks go to my individual therapist and doctor Ms. F. Schubert and my group therapist Ms. Scharf, who have both always motivated me and always believed in me. Ultimately, the location of the castle is awesome, it is quiet and invites you to stroll and it never gets boring. Kind regards from Kölle Heiko M.

  I am very ambivalent after my stay there. The staff and the therapists I had to deal with were really great and gave me good ideas. The food was terrific! Nevertheless, there are some points that reduce my overall impression quite a bit: - Double room accommodation was an impertinence (single room surcharge incredibly expensive!), Room quite small, privacy hardly possible, 1 desk for two people also a bit impractical - Common area too small for all patients, few leisure activities - Children and adolescents: some teachers are “old school”, humiliating treatment of patients, a lot of pressure, little understanding, little or no leisure time activities, little therapy Conclusion: I paid a lot of money, got accommodation with an aggressive roommate, hardly any sleep, no support other than single room accommodation (to be financed by yourself), children's area not suitable for children, contact made the situation worse, no leisure time offerings! I would not check in there again "" For adults who can raise the money for a single room and with the right symptoms (addiction) it may be a good clinic. Probably not for children and young people.

  The first meeting with Dr. Ing. Dr. from Ploetz (chief physician) left a very bitter aftertaste with me. I did not feel well during the conversation, the conversation was rushed (which is even more difficult for me as a person struggling with anxiety and stress), I did not feel I had enough detail to attach my needs and concerns or even interested in them. Even after addressing this concern, Mr. Ploetz has taken no account of me. After two very short conversation sessions (which were interrupted by a leadership of one of the staff) I was literally thrown out. Before the conversation, Mr. Ploetz had not even informed me about my first name. From a private clinic I expect much more sensitivity with patients and at least enough scheduled time for a first interview. It also seems to me very unprofessional on the basis of only five questions about my health on this day to make a diagnosis and this without ever having spoken with my longtime psychotherapist. The subsequent report has also shown that Dr. Dr. Ploetz did not focus enough on my situation to understand what my psychotherapeutic needs are. I had the hope during a conversation, with one of the other practicing therapists, to be able to revise my previous picture of your clinic, to be able to discuss detailed treatment strategies for me and not have to exclude the clinic as a treatment. However, this possibility was not granted to me. Although all the staff members I've been involved with were very friendly and accommodating, this can hardly outweigh the head physician's dealings with a potential future patient, and probably speaks volumes about the overall treatment of patients during the hospital stay. Of course I do not want the other therapists the same disinterest in the patient as Dr. Ploetz, but as chief physician, he still has a role model role model and influence on the treatment of patients. I am very disappointed and will not be able to recommend your clinic any further and will definitely not treat me there.
